More than 60 St. Petersburg companies participated in Internationalization Academy course within the framework of the Startup Connect project. The training course consisted of 3 workshops on different issues of international cooperation and export.
The first seminar “Business Internationalization: how to present the project to international partners?” took place of November 7, 2018. In the framework of the workshop high-tech enterprises and export-oriented businesses learned tips and got expert’s advices for the presentation for foreign partners: how attract the attention on the project presentation, how to gain access to international programs for scientific and technological cooperation, and what factors contribute to the successful development of business and technological cooperation. Also practical recommendations on the preparation of presentations for various types of audience, combining Russian and foreign experience, were presented.
Next workshop “Linguistic percularities of export: requirements of foreign markets for documentation, promotional materials and company websites” took place of November 22, 2018. In the framework of the event the participants discussed how avoid typical mistakes in transactions with a foreign partner and in preparation of promotional materials, and which algorithms for preparing documents in the implementation of foreign economic activity are used.
The final seminar “High-tech export and international scientific and technical cooperation: how to protect the rights on the results of intellectual activity?” took place of December 13, 2018. During this workshop experts discussed the opportunities for the development of international business, technological and research cooperation and ways how avoid common mistakes and protect company’s technologies, products and intellectual property in foreign markets.
